Women of the Diocese of the Rio Grande

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same lord; and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires them all in everyone." (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

“The mission of the Women of the Diocese of the Rio Grande is to connect and support all women in their diverse ministries. We do this by offering opportunities to gather for studying, re-creating, and celebrating who we are as women of Faith, Hope and Love.”

On January 19, the Women's Council of the Diocese of the Rio Grande rolled out a new study format for women(and interested men) across the Diocese.

The intent of this study is to help us actually read full texts of Bible books and become comfortable with them. This means the focus will be on only one of the primary books during each season of the weekly Bible BCP Lectionary readings.
Participants (either as individuals or in their own created-groups) will be able to share the same Bible background across the entire diocese in the WDRG Study. Doing the study seasonally means people can join anytime and do the work at their own pace to become confidently literate in using the Bible.

Every Monday, participants get an email with the week's meditation to contemplate and share with friends. You can sign up any time by emailing wdrgstudy@gmail.com, or using the link on the blog.

In Eastertide, 2015, we looked at the Book of Acts-the history of the early church. You can read any parts you missed here.
All past sessions of the Epiphany and Lent 2015 E-study are here.

As the study progresses, we hope to inspire other DRG women (and men) to delight in and commit to doing a season of presentations in the future. Let’s make the WDRG Study a continuing resource to all across our vast diocese.

Keep checking back for more information and other exciting opportunities to share the Word of God.
