Women of the Diocese of the Rio Grande

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same lord; and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires them all in everyone." (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

As women of the Diocese of the Rio Grande we work to live out this promise in retreat, fellowship, study, and ministry.

Be in Prayer for the Search Committee, Bishop Candidates, Walk-Abouts, and Election that will happen in Spring 2018. Watch the Facebook page and Diocesan website & publications for how you can be part of this exciting phase in the life of our diocese, esp. in Lent 2018. Download a litany for the search

Come Follow Me a study and meditation series is coming from Women’s Ministry & Transition Team starting Feb. 18 through May 5 (date of the Electing Convention). Women & men around the diocese are encouraged to participate in small groups, or individually, in this opportunity to consider the strengths and future of the Diocese of the Rio Grande. The study guide can be downloaded. Members of the Women’s Ministry Council and the Transition Team will provide supplemental meditations each week. You can sign up to get the meditations in your inbox (wdrgstudy@gmail.com) or simply check the Women’s Ministry website or Facebook page each week.

General Convention 2018 July 5-10 in Austin is also a time to hold in prayer.
Praying Deeper: Deborah Smith Douglas will be the keynote speaker at the Daughters of the King Assembly on August 4 at the Bosque Center. All women of the Diocese are invited to attend her talks starting about 10AM. Lunch will be provided. Copies of Deborah's book can be obtained from Dona Ace at St. Chad's, ABQ.

Boldly Forward, A Summer 2018 Bosque Weekend will be August 17-18, 2018 as we evaluate and look at the direction we want to move in as we welcome a new Bishop. (this will take the place of the Nov. Bosque weekend, due to the Bishop’s consecration events.)
