Women of the Diocese of the Rio Grande

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same lord; and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires them all in everyone." (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

As women of the Diocese of the Rio Grande we work to live out this promise in retreat, fellowship, study, and ministry.

The Women’s Ministry of the Diocese of the Rio Grande invites all women-- married or single, young and young at heart, lay or ordained, Episcopalian or not--to the Exploring Sabbath Retreat on November 17-18 at the Bosque Center. Take a time out from households and children and jobs to have Sabbath time. This will be a time to experience Sabbath, which is not just about worship and quiet. Sabbath is Gift from God
Sabbath is Refreshment
Sabbath is Thanksgiving

Christmas Potluck, Cookie Exchange & Outreach Last year the Women's Ministry and Daughters of the King teamed up for a Christmas Party at the Bosque Center that benefited the Women's Circle of Empowerment with a load of supplies. This year, we'll have a Potluck and Cookie Exchange at the Cathedral on December 2, starting at noon. This year we're collecting for the Borderlands, as a follow-up to the Convention collection. You can also support the Women's Circle of Empowerment initiative to homeless women by bringing travel-sized toiletries and new washcloths! So mark your calendar to bring some cookies (made by you or the store), a dish to share, and some supplies (suggestions here) for the Women's Circle of Empowerment.
