Blessed to be a Blessing Events

This summer, two Blessed to be a Blessing weekends were sponsored by the Women’s Ministry Council for women of the diocese.
These one-day events focused on how we are blessed by our faith fore-mothers. By looking at women in the Bible, in culture, and in our own lives, attendees were empowered to live into the Way of Love. Nearly 30 women shared insights and ideas at the two events.

The ladies from Holy Spirit, Gallup were inspired to consider a new ministry of study and inspiration with one another. Attendees in Las Vegas came from Santa Fe, Los Alamos, and Albuquerque. Their discussion focused on ways to be blessings to the women in our communities.
The next event is Entertaining Angels Unaware on Nov. 15-16 at the Bosque Center. Registration is available soon.

Blessed to Be a Blessing Women's Events This Summer

Women’s Ministry One-Day Event

9AM-3PM at:
St. Paul’s/Peace, Las Vegas on July 27

The St. John's Alamogordo day has been cancelled due to an unexpected 'act of a loving God'. We WILL be planning something in Alamogordo for 2020, so watch for that!

If you are within a 2-hour drive of Las Vegas, invite a friend and come!
If you live a little further away, make it a girl's weekend and enjoy the scenery on the way as well as exploring a new church and making new friends!

¨ Learn how women of the Bible influence our Christian walk.
¨ Meet some Bible women (familiar and less well-known).
¨ Be inspired by God’s actions across time.
¨ Engage in discussions of ways we encourage one another.
¨ Acquire tools to invite other women, and girls, into a deeper relationship with God.
¨ Open to women of all ages and denominations. Invite your friends!

¨ Cost is $20 to cover supplies and lunch.
¨ Register via PayPal below or download and mail in the form.

There were 14 ladies at the Gallup Blessed to be a Blessing day on June 29! It was such fun getting to know each other and learn about women of the Bible, and some other 'saints', as well as how we each are women filled with the Spirit and already blessings to each other.

Women's Ministry in the DRG in 2019

The Way of Love is the Presiding Bishop’s invitation to participate in being the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement. The 7 disciplines are Bless, Pray, Worship, Learn, Turn, Rest, and Go. In 2019, Women’s Ministry events will highlight various parts of this initiative.
Join us on this journey at one or more of these exciting events!

Lent 2019: Pilgrimage, the annual Lent retreat, open to men also, will be March 29-30 at Camp Stoney. Retreat speakers are the Rev. Meg and Bishop Michael Hunn. There is an, optional, mini-pilgrimage to Chimayo on Friday, March 29. During the retreat on Saturday, March 30, Bishop Michael and Meg Hunn will invite us to consider our life-long pilgrimages. There will be time for Prayer and Worship in several forms.

Blessed to be a Blessing: Summer 2019 will be a chance to focus on the Way of Love mandate to Rest; and discover ways we are Blessed to be a Blessing to one another in sharing our stories, mentoring, and encouraging the women in our lives.

Entertaining Angels Unaware at the Bosque Center, Nov. 17-18 will  continue the Way of Love conversation with opportunities to Learn about the ‘angels’ we meet. We will consider how to Turn (or Re-turn) and Go out to the world on the Way of Love.
